These tools provide informational estimates from user-supplied dimensions. Outputs can contain errors and important results require independent verification.
Estimates, not guarantees
Results depend on the accuracy, units, geometry, product values, and allowances you enter. Rounding, irregular boundaries, grade, settlement, compaction, moisture, breakage, installation method, and supplier packaging can cause actual quantities to differ.
Materials and planting
Confirm bag and pallet coverage, bulk density, product dimensions, label rates, mature plant spacing, soil suitability, and waste with the manufacturer or supplier. More material or closer spacing is not automatically safer or better. Follow labels and installation instructions.
Slope, drainage, excavation, and utilities
The slope calculator is not a survey or drainage design. Before digging or changing grade, identify underground and overhead services, property boundaries, drainage paths, easements, permits, erosion controls, and applicable rules. Use qualified survey, design, or construction professionals when consequences are significant.
Retaining walls and structures
The wall calculator estimates visible face units only. It does not design foundations, buried courses, reinforcement, drainage, backfill, soil support, surcharge loading, curves, corners, guardrails, or structural stability. Wall failure can cause injury or property damage. Follow an approved system design and obtain engineering or permits where required.
Independent verification
Re-measure the site, inspect the calculation method, and compare the result with product documentation and supplier ordering increments. For safety-critical, structural, regulatory, boundary, drainage, or high-cost decisions, obtain review from an appropriately qualified person.
No warranties
The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law, while rights and liabilities that cannot legally be excluded remain in effect.
